If your plans to become the CEO of a titanic multinational fell through, this is your chance to try out the life of a billionaire on a shoestring budget while you regroup.
Just book this Airbnb: the fuselage of a Boeing 727 airplane outfitted like a private jet, complete with a king-size bed, couches, a kitchen, and a hot tub.
And if you fancy something different than pretending you’re a billionaire, you can always play pilot. The plane’s cockpit is equipped with working lights and “hundreds of switches,” a feature that made one guest feel “like a kid again.”
The fuselage has no wings, but is mounted on shipping containers at the secure creative industries centre ‘Skyline Park’ in the Brislington area of Bristol, England.
Guests enter the park with a code and then climb stairs to an outdoor terrace with a hot tub and shower.
Aviation enthusiasts can spend the night in the fuselage of a Boeing 727 ‘private jet’ (above) that retains its luxurious original fixtures and fittings. This quirky Airbnb is located in the Brislington area of Bristol.
The plane on the ground no longer has wings, but features a cockpit, pictured, with working lights and “hundreds of switches” so tourists can pretend they are the captain of their own plane.
From there, they can climb the functional ‘sky stairs’ to reach their abode where they will spend the night.
As the images show, the converted aircraft is a delight to behold, with walnut panelling, gold detailing and glass adorning the interiors.
The aircraft was built in 1968 but converted into a private jet in 1981.
The hosts reveal: “The interiors are all original from 1981 and restored. In some places there are signs of wear and tear typical of a 40+ year old décor, including some stains on the cream wool carpet.”
The ‘exquisite space’ offers a comfortable overnight stay for up to four guests in two bedrooms.
